Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The selected candidate will work closely with the Head Golf Professional, Lead Assistant Professional, Teaching Professional, Caddie Manager, as well as PGA Interns; to ensure the highest level of service to the membership and their guests. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing the aspects of the daily golf operation.

Major Responsibilities:
• Provide exemplary service to both members and guests. Have a service-minded attitude.
• Assist Lead Assistant in Organizing and Administering Club Tournaments.
• Serve as an ambassador of the club by promoting, serving and representing the club.
• Maintain an active role in the merchandise operation, working closely with the Head Professional.
• Assist in the training, supervision, and mentoring of the PGA Interns.
• Assist the Head Professional in the implementation of all golf operation policies and procedures.
• Maintain a high level playing ability, playing not only with the membership, but also in Michigan Section events.
• Supervise and manage the outside service staff in an effective and efficient manner.
• Work closely with the Caddie Manager; monitoring and maintaining the required pace of play and managing the practice areas.
• Assist in managing the Caddie Program.

Requirements:
A qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience as an Assistant Golf Professional or Intern at a high-end private facility.
Class A PGA member in good standing.
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of one work experience as a Professional at a high-end private facility.
The ability to confidently club fit and teach members.
Tournament playing record preferred.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel, Golf Genius, Jonas POS systems, as well as other teaching systems.
Strong work ethic and detail-oriented.
Present a professional image and appearance at all times.
Exceptional communicator, both verbal and written.
Willingness to learn and grow both personally and professionally, with aspirations to become a Head Professional.
