Assistant Golf Professional (Recreation Coordinator)
Golf Course in Milford, Michigan is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional (Recreation Coordinator).

Position Overview:
Knowledge, skills, and abilities (functions essential to attaining job objectives):
• Knowledge of the game of golf, operations, cart fleet, range equipment and scheduling.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to utilize tact and diplomacy in dealing with the public and enforcing course rules.
• Ability to walk over grassy, uneven terrain as needed to maintain contact with golfers.
• Ability to operate and communicate via two-way radio.
• Train, schedule, supervise and set priorities for seasonal employees.
• Supervise and co-ordinate the resolution of complaints.
• Assist with records and reports; maintain employee time and materials records; equipment and supplies; inventories.
• Ensure facility compliance with all local, county, state regulations, licenses, and inspections.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and the public.
• Maintain and report accurate payroll records of employees.
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.

This is a supervisory position directing and coordinating the activities and personnel at a recreational facility. Major responsibility is placed on scheduling training, coordinating, and supervising seasonal employees. Also supervises golf outings, leagues and daily play. Although general direction is received from the full-time Golf Course Manager and PGA Professional, the duties and responsibilities require considerable independent judgment and initiative. Golf lessons will be limited, though available.

Requirements:
Computer knowledge of Microsoft programs is required.
Working knowledge of ForeUp (Electronic Tee Sheets) is preferred.
Money handling skills along with opening and closing of clubhouse experience required.
Some coursework from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Two years of golf course-related supervision preferred.
Work experience that reflects the ability to effectively supervise and manage employees.
Ability to speak with, work with, and rationally resolve conflict with the public.
