Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Columbia, Tennessee is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assist the Head Golf Professional in managing the day-to-day golf operations. The successful candidate will serve as one of the main points of contact within the golf operation, and must possess organizational and management skills, excellent communication skills, and merchandising capabilities. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest customer service level and total satisfaction of all customers.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Conduct self in professional manner.
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Manage the daily golf operations.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures of golf shop.
• Answer the phone in a professional manner.
• Track and record daily rounds of golf.
• Work with the POS system (Jonas).
• Inventory control of hard goods, demo clubs, soft goods, and special orders.
• Restocking, changing displays, and keeping merchandise neat and presentable.
• Handling and counting money.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and aesthetic appearance of work area, and clean the Golf Shop as necessary.
• Train and support outside service staff to ensure highest quality of customer service.
• Oversee golf cart operations and practice facilities.
• Provide individual lessons.
• Participate in all junior programs as an instructor.
• Supervise the club’s handicap system (GHIN).
• Assist with facilitating member events and/or outside tournaments.
• Work with Head Golf Professional with other duties as needed.

Requirements:
4 year college degree.
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf and rules of golf.
Working towards PGA and/or LPGA membership.
Self-motivated and willing to take on leadership roles.
Customer service and customer experience-oriented.
Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
Must have a driver’s license.
Must be neat and well groomed.

Compensation:
$20.00 per hour.
