Head Golf Professional
Golf course in Marcellus, New York is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Oversees the entire golf operation including supervision of staff, monitoring of play, coordination of golf tournaments, and the promotion of an exceptional golf experience for all guests.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Manages daily golf operations and services.
2. Supervises all assigned staff, including assistant professional(s), outside services staff, any assigned interns and Golf Shop attendants.
3. Ensures the efficient scheduling of staff and creates weekly schedules.
4. Assists with the interview and selection process for new staff members.
5. Monitors play and enforces all rules governing the use of the courses and practice facilities.
6. Oversee the point of sale system and guest check-in process.
7. Oversees the administration of the handicap program GHIN system.
8. Oversee the rental and maintenance of golf carts, pull carts and rental equipment.
9. Provides excellent guest service, advice and assistance to all golf patrons.
10. Provides individual and group golf instruction and junior programs.
11. Oversees the display, inventory, promotion and sales of pro shop merchandise.
12. Oversees the coordination of all tournaments and ensures a positive tournament experience for guests.
13. Coordinates with maintenance staff to ensure the best possible golf experience for guests.
14. Liaison with tournament sponsors, officials and other organizations when hosting events.
15. Prepares and analyzes various reports on sales forecasting, revenue and inventory.
16. Oversee all league play both internal member leagues and external public leagues.
17. Assist with marketing and promotional activities.
18. Adheres to all policies & procedures in the Golf Operations Policies and Procedures Manual.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Preferred PGA Professional in good standing with the PGA of America.
PGA Associates or Affiliates with strong ambition or experience will be considered as well.
An Associate’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
At least two years of supervisory experience in golf operations preferred.
Experience in managing all aspects of golf tournaments.
Excellent guest service skills, oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep accurate records.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Compensation:
$34,000.00 – $46,000.00 per year.
