Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Schenectady, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Work directly with the Superintendent, Equipment Manager, and the other Assistant Superintendent to carry out the quality standards and practices.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Daily course setup.
• Spraying plan protectants and wetting agents.
• Fertility applications.
• Daily mowing.
• Water monitoring and corrective measures.
• Irrigation repairs and maintenance.
• Crew scheduling and oversight.
• Oversee and perform cultural, construction, and renovation projects.
• Involvement with hiring seasonal staff.
• Attending budget and forecasting meetings for the future.
• Chemical and supply inventories.

Requirements:
All candidates with associates, or bachelors in turfgrass management.
Certificates from an accredited college in turfgrass management will be considered.
Desire to work and learn from our systems while sharing relevant past experiences from your work history.
Current students expecting to graduate in 2025, or recently graduated individuals encouraged to apply.
Previous golf course experience is desired but not required. We will train whoever is chosen as the right candidate.

Compensation:
$55,000 – $60,000 per year.
Membership to local and national Golf Course Superintendent Associations.
Local seminars for continuing education.
All fees associated with obtaining or renewing NYS Pesticide license.
Uniform shirts, coats and hats provided.
Golfing privileges.
