Head Golf Professional
Golf course in Orchard Lake, Michigan is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Essential Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations at a high level. These areas include the golf shop, outside services, driving range, locker rooms, bag storage, 45 holes of golf and golf cart fleet (150 carts).
• Plan, promote, execute high-level member events that include Men’s Golf Association events, Ladies Golf Association events, and club events.
• Hire, train, mentor, supervise and elevate golf staff including assistant golf professionals, supervisors, starters, golf shop staff, and outside services personnel
• Enforce golf course policies and procedures to maintain safety, pace of play, and quality standards.
• Manage Jonas tee sheet reservation system and Golf Genius Tournament Software.
• Provide excellent customer service, professional advice, and assistance to all members and guests. Maintain a visible and approachable presence. Assist with onboarding of new members.
• Attend monthly meetings such as MGA, LGA Handicap Committee and monthly staff meetings.

Requirements:
Class A PGA member in good standing.
College degree.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members, guests, and staff.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of service.
Experience managing day-to-day operations.
Experience managing a team of golf professionals, outside staff, starters, and shop staff.
Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Excellent mentoring, training, and supervisory skills.
Experience in organizing, promoting, and executing high-level member tournaments.
Proficient in computer applications and software like Microsoft Office, Golf Genius, and Jonas.
In-depth knowledge of golf, rules, and etiquette.

Compensation:
$85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year.
