1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Barrington, Illinois is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist in promoting all golf programs at the club.
• Assist members and guests with exceptional customer service.
• Responsible for managing golf events with the support of the professional staff (Golf Genius, communication, materials, organization, etc.).
• Provide high-level golf instruction to all demographics of our membership: men, ladies, and juniors.
• Perform high-level club fittings for our members using Trackman. Being educated on all equipment trends is a must. Trackman experience is a plus but not required.
• Manage the first tee during peak times, keep an accurate tee sheet, and ensure an excellent pace of play. The golf course does not have tee times.
• Play golf with members of all skill levels.
• Compete in Illinois section events. Practicing and keeping your game sharp is encouraged.
• Understand and be knowledgeable of the club’s rules and policies.
• Assist with the golf shop merchandise: special orders, prebook orders, open to buy, keeping the golf shop presentable, etc.
• Work cohesively with other departments: food & beverage, golf course maintenance, and other sports.

Requirements:
3-5 years experience as an assistant professional at similar facilities.
The ideal candidate must be registered with the PGA of America.
Class A membership is preferred, but registered associates will be considered.
A four-year college degree is preferred, but not required.
Proficient skills and experience with Golf Genius and Microsoft Office programs.

Compensation:
$62,000.00 – $66,000.00 per year.
