Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Work closely with the other members of the professional golf staff to provide top of the line service to members and guest. They will be involved in all aspects of the golf operation which include, day to day operations, tournament operations, managing staff, merchandising and much more. Working will give you all the tools to excel in grow in the golf business. Assist the Head Professional in all aspects of the golf operation including day-to-day operational management, member and guest tournaments/events, merchandising, and club repair. This individual will assist in supervising the golf operations staff to ensure the highest level of service to the members and their guests. Official Position Duration: May – October. Date adjustments will be considered for Candidates with other seasonal position obligations. The Assistant Golf Professional must have the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Greet all members and guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, written and verbal communications, with timely follow-up on tasks.
• Support the Head Professional with planning, staging and executing tournament events and daily play.
• Execute the daily opening and closing procedures of the Golf Shop.
• Assist with merchandising that includes stocking, recovery, displaying and placement.
• Assist in overseeing the practice facility, cart barn, bag room.
• Possess knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf and GHIN handicap system.
• Build relationships by playing golf with Members and their guests throughout the season.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the Head Professional.
• PGA Associate or Member preferred.
• Possible instruction based on the Head Professional’s approval of skills and experience.

Requirements:
Experience in a Private Club or other high-end, luxury property or resort is preferred.
PGA Associate or Member preferred.
