Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Lockport, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position will report directly to the Head Golf Professional and will be highly encouraged to operate seasonally while maintaining employment during the winter months in a warmer climate.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Create a positive shopping experience for members and guests through effective merchandising techniques.
• Utilize the POS system for all transactions, inventory control, and credit book distribution.
• Assist in all player development programs with an emphasis on juniors, women, and families.
• Assist the head golf professional with clinics and tournaments.
• Administer a tournament operations program using Golf Genius tournament software.
• Adhere to, implement, and enforce club rules, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain golf shop policies and procedures.
• Be knowledgeable on the rules of golf and administer/interpret when necessary.
• Assist in the administration of the World Handicap System.
• Assist with ordering merchandise and processing special orders.
• Perform club repair efficiently and properly.
• Communicate effectively with all staff members and department heads.
• Assist in overseeing all areas of outside operations (bagroom, staging area, cart barn, and practice facilities).
• Play golf with members on a weekly basis, when the tournament calendar allows.
• Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of 1-year experience in the golf industry. Candidates with a strong desire for the game of golf and career advancement will be highly considered.
Candidates with no experience but a desire for a career in golf are strongly recommended to apply.

Compensation:
$750.00 – $1,000.00 per week.
