Head Golf Professional
Golf Course in Signal Mountain, Tennessee is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Reports to the Board of Directors and works closely with the Golf Operations Committee which is composed of members of the Board of Directors. The primary function of the position is to oversee all golf operational activities including the golf shop, merchandising, outside golf services, tournaments, golf instruction, and staff management, while providing the highest standards of excellence for member and guest enjoyment. The ideal candidate will ensure proper communication between departments, maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, and keep members satisfied and well-informed.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Must be a solid leader that fosters positive relationships and interacts at the highest level with membership and staff while representing the club with the utmost standards of service, integrity, and professionalism.
• Must possess a strong understanding of the game of golf, including the rules, golf facility operations, and tournament management. Enforces all club rules and regulations pertaining to golf and course usage.
• Develop and manage golf instruction, clinics, and player programs, incorporating the latest technology and advancements in teaching techniques.
• Oversees employment activities for staff members, including but not limited to recruitment, selection, performance evaluations, training, and compensation. Ensures the quality of member golf experience by developing a professional, member-focused staff.
• Ensures purchasing aligns with member demographics and preferences, while closely managing product presentation and inventory to continuously enhance the merchandise operation.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively, manage multiple tasks under pressure with minimal supervision, and work flexible hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Plays golf as time allows, engaging with various member groups of different skill levels to foster relationships and promote the game.
• Collaborates with the Golf Course Superintendent and his staff to coordinate golf operations, monitor course conditions, and optimize course usage.
• Works with the Food and Beverage staff to coordinate all food and beverage needs for regular play, tournaments, outings, and special golf events.
• Preparation of a monthly report for the Golf Operations Committee and Board of Directors to highlight operations, rounds and revenue goals, tournament activity, etc.
• Ensures that ancillary services, including but not limited to the handicapping system, guest programs, and driving range facilities, are effectively organized and operate smoothly.
• Maintains a professional character.

Requirements:
Must be a Class “A” member in good standing with the PGA of America.
A college degree from an accredited university or college is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and member service skills.
Must be well spoken and professional, with a warm inviting presence.
Demonstrate experience in budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, and staff management.
Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations.
Organized and attentive to detail.
Competent proficiency in Point of Sale, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Golf Genius and similar software.
Experience with JONAS software a plus.
