Head Golf Professional
Country Club in Brookings, South Dakota is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This role involves managing every aspect of daily club operations, which includes administrative tasks, financial oversight, food and beverage services, and facility maintenance, with an emphasis on the club’s business structure and membership expansion. The preferred candidate will be a member in good standing of the PGA of America. Golf operations are an important component of the club including member events and instruction programming. The position will directly oversee all club staff, ensuring team unity and compliance with the club’s service standards, Mission Statement, and strategic objectives. Acting as the front-facing representative of the club both internally and externally, the position must demonstrate strong skills in public relations, sales, and business, while passionately aiming to exceed member expectations and maintain high satisfaction levels.

Duties:
• Oversee all administrative and financial operations, including monitoring budgets, review and analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, cash flow, and capital operations.
• Oversee and serve as liaison for all departments, including golf, food & beverage, facility maintenance, membership, and administrative services.
• Implement key strategies to generate revenue through increased membership sales, increased rounds of golf and merchandise sales, and enhanced food and beverage offerings and events.
• Embrace the community with special events and functions to showcase the club for continued membership growth.
• Uphold high standards and attention to detail regarding handicaps, rules of play, course markings, and course conditions. Ensure clear communication of this information to all competitors and members, providing additional details both online and on display in the clubhouse.
• Monitor all purchasing and receiving goods for your golf operation to ensure proper quantity, quality, and price for all purchases. Approve all product invoices before submitting them to accounting.
• Operate a successful and profitable golf shop that serves all member segments by providing added value and offering a broad range of soft goods, hard goods, and unique items.
• Ensure that all club accounting and billing for guests, carts, golf events, and merchandise sales are accurately maintained, recorded, and processed daily.

Requirements:
PGA Membership is preferred.
CMAA Membership is a plus but not required.
A minimum of three years of experience as a General Manager, Head Golf Professional, Assistant General Manager, Clubhouse Manager, or as a Senior Manager in the hospitality industry is required.
Should have a solid track record of leadership experience, adept at guiding a team of professionals toward achieving positive outcomes.
Verifiable record working closely with leaders in a private club with active Boards and Committees while providing vision and leadership.
Understands controls as it relates to payroll, budgeting, and maintaining expenses.
Proven history of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to cope under pressure and adapt quickly and easily to changing priorities.
Forms effective and productive working relationships with his/her staff, which include the ability to lead, motivate, empower, delegate, and hold staff accountable.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are crucial for success.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Compensation:
$90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year.
