Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Ann Arbor, Michigan is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assists the Head Golf Professional and 1st Assistant in the management of day-to-day golf operations of the facility. The position is responsible to aid with Clinics and Camps, run Association Play, help with merchandise upkept in Pro Shop, and aid with supervising and managing total golf operations. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all customers.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Aids members and guests in the Golf Shop.
• Will manage and schedule the Cart staff and Marshals.
• Acts as the Golf Shop Supervisor in the absence of the Head Golf Professional and 1st Assistant.
• Participates as a team member to accomplish tasks, goals and preparations for all golf activities, training new employees and customer service.
• Helps with organizing and coordinating golf leagues, outings, tournaments, and special events.
• Will oversee the WGA Tournaments and Thursday Evening games.
• Assists with tee-time coordination, golf lesson booking, handicapping, and demo days.
• Assists with on course issues such as pace of play, marking and defining.
• Assists in the maintenance of an accurate inventory.
• Assists in teaching clinics, Player Development Programs, Jr. camps, private/group lessons.
• Performs club repair including grips and cut downs.
• Communicates with members, co-workers, management, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
• Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of the club.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of golf merchandise.
• Requires responsibility and accountability.
• Requires good time/task management, and a positive and upbeat attitude.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and members.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• 10% of all lessons and clinics will be paid to the club, no other fees are required.
• Play golf with Membership.

Requirements:
Must be registered in the PGA/PGM Program.
2 years of college or equivalent experience preferred.
Golf operations background and instruction experience.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Customer service experience.
Proficient in Golf Genius.

Compensation:
$38,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year.
