Head Golf Professional
Golf Course in Albany, Minnesota is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Responsible for management of golf related activities. Including the direct oversight of the pro-shop, toptracer range, cart fleet, competitive play, and coordination of marketing programs to promote the facilities services to potential customers. They will ensure golf facilities are properly maintained delivering quality experience for all our members and guests. The position will work collaboratively and professionally with the Course Superintendent. They will serve as a role model to other Albany Golf Club staff by being prompt, professional, and possess strong communication skills fostering a positive work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of day-to-day golf operations. Enthusiastically promote golf and golfing activities with a high level of service.
• Identify and present new opportunities that will increase revenue or reduce costs while maintaining the highest quality programs and services possible for our members and guests. Take corrective actions as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained.
• Represent the club in golf activities in a reputable, professional manner. Participate in public relations efforts in and around the Albany Golf Club and community.
• Operate and maintain a reputable pro-shop and toptracer range that effectively uses the AGC’s brand and features a variety of quality merchandise and services that meet our member and guest’s needs.
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise for the pro-shop and toptracer range. Ensure protection of Club assets by effectively controlling costs, managing budgets, and tracking inventory.
• Possess an in-depth understanding and ability to effectively use our Point of Sale (P.O.S) system, tee sheet, Golf Genius software and train on it.
• Promote tournaments, leagues, or special events in sufficient time leading up to it, to create event awareness and participation.
• Arrange logistics of the tournament league, or special event. Implement the use of Golf Genius software. Order, and stage necessary materials. Coordinate with employees ensure they have all necessary equipment and supplies for their jobs.
• Oversee and govern the appropriate use of the handicap system.
• Oversee scheduled private and corporate events at toptracer range to ensure they are implemented accordingly and follow up at the conclusion of the event.
• Coordinate and develop teaching programs for students of all skill levels, utilizing the range technology.
• Promote the range and toptracer technology to create awareness and participation. Identify opportunities to increase revenue or reduce costs while maintaining the highest quality events services possible.
• Ensure a consistent, best-in-class, standard of customer service is met. The ability to know how to make members, guests, and event clients feel they are consistently taken care of.
• Establish and maintain positive member, guest, and business relationships.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.
3-4 years golf industry experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PGA member in good standing preferred.

Compensation:
$70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year.
