Head Golf Professional
Country Club in Shawnee, Oklahoma is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This is a full-time on-site position for a Director of Golf / Head Golf Professional. This position holds the responsibility for overseeing and managing all golf operations of the club, including personnel, purchasing, member services pertaining to golf, teaching, tournament operations (both member and outside), and golf management. The position also holds the responsbility for strategic planning and business development and cordination with the Ownership Group. This position will also work with the other Department Heads of the Club ( Golf Course Superintendent, Food and Beverage, Member Services, and Accounting & Finance).

Essential Responsibilities:
• Staff Supervision: Hiring, training, and supervising golf shop staff, instructors, and outside services personnel to ensure a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.
• Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service to members, guests, and tournament participants by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive experience at the facility.
• Retail Management: Managing the pro shop inventory, including purchasing merchandise, setting retail prices, and implementing sales promotions to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Golf Instruction: Offering golf instruction to players of all skill levels, including private lessons, group clinics, and playing lessons, to help golfers improve their game and enhance their overall experience.
• Tournament Coordination: Organizing and coordinating golf tournaments, leagues, and events, including scheduling, registration, scoring, and prize distribution, to ensure successful and memorable experiences for participants.
• Financial Management: Developing and managing budgets for golf operations, pro shop inventory, and instructional programs, while monitoring expenses and revenue to achieve financial goals and targets.
• Marketing and Promotion: Understandment of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to attract new customers, retain existing members, and increase overall participation in golf activities and programs.
• Rules and Regulations Enforcement: Ensuring compliance with golf course rules, regulations, and safety protocols, and providing guidance and assistance to players to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment on the course.
• Professional Development: Continuing education and staying current with industry trends, rules changes, and best practices in golf instruction, retail management, and customer service to enhance professional skills and expertise.

Requirements:
Leadership and management skills, with experience managing/working with multiple staff and interactions with other teams.
Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial statements, billing systems, and organizational skills.
Experience working in the golf industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent reporting abilities for information communications to owners.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong Tournament Management skills preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field is preferred.
PGA Membership is preferred.
Employment / Experience at a private club is preferred.
