Head Golf Professional
Country Club in Saint Louis, Missouri is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Plays a key role in delivering exceptional golf experiences within the club’s renowned facilities and amenities. Working under the Director of Golf, this position combines expertise in golf instruction, course management, and member services to uphold the club’s tradition of excellence. Plays a pivotal role in upholding the club’s reputation as a premier destination for quality leisure with family and friends, ensuring that every member’s golf experience is nothing short of exceptional.

The successful candidate will:
• Serve as a club ambassador, leading Assistant Professionals to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Take a hands-on approach to daily member experiences, enforcing club rules and ensuring staff compliance.
• Efficiently manage tee times, scheduling, and personnel policies for golf shop operations.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and training manuals.
• Conduct regular staff meetings focused on customer satisfaction and operational improvements.
• Represent the facility at committee, staff, and public meetings.
• Create annual business plans and recommend policy changes to the Director of Golf.
• Recruit, mentor, and support a team of Assistant Golf Professionals.
• Establish training programs to enhance staff service and professionalism.
• Oversee hiring, training, and evaluation of golf shop and outside service personnel.
• Organize and conduct golf programs, tournaments, and social events for all member segments.
• Coordinate with Food and Beverage Manager for golf event needs.
• Develop a robust golf instruction program for members of all skill levels.
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and sales in the golf shop.
• Stay current with USGA rules and officiate in-house tournaments.

Requirements:
PGA Class “A” member with leadership experience in a family-oriented golf club.
Strong communicator with a service-oriented mindset and leadership skills.
Experienced in managing golf operations and delivering outstanding member experiences.
Knowledgeable in golf equipment trends and technology.
Committed to continuous improvement and innovation in golf programming.
Willing to participate in PGA/LPGA activities and promote club reputation.
Ability to represent the club positively within the community and golf organizations.
Skilled in high-touch service delivery and team development.
Proficient in player development programming and managing golf events.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning abilities.
