Head Golf Professional
Golf course in Erie, Pennsylvania is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Manage all golf and golf-related activities and businesses including:
• Managing the golf shop and driving range.
• Enforcing club rules and regulations.
• Overseeing the club’s handicap system.
• Providing golf lessons and clinics for all levels of players.
• Playing golf with members of all skill levels.
• Supervising the rental and maintenance of golf cars.
• Reporting activities of the department to the Golf Committee.
• Supervise or perform daily care of the cart fleet. Communicate all abnormal maintenance needs to the golf course superintendent.
• Hire, train, direct and supervise all golf shop employees.
• Run tournaments and assist in league activities.
• Plan, organize, manage, and supervise daily play as per club guidelines.
• Assist in soliciting memberships, tournaments, and outings.
• Focus on customers, revenue growth, cost containment and continuous improvement.
• Manage simulators in the off-season, this includes creating and maintaining a simulator league.
• Meet, greet and welcome prospective customers/patrons.
• Participate in the formulation of the annual and seasonal club marketing campaigns and promotions.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain the club’s calendar of events by communicating with the golf course superintendent, restaurant manager, and the social committee.
• Coordinate plans with the restaurant manager for all food and beverage needs, on-course food and beverage needs, banquets, outside events and catering for all golf functions.
• Develop and oversee golf instruction and clinics.
• Maintain a close working relationship with the golf course superintendent and restaurant manager and participate in regular meetings with the board of directors.
• Protect the assets of the club.

Requirements:
Must be a PGA Professional in good standing with the PGA of America. PGA Associates, Affiliates and candidates with a strong golf professional background will also be considered.
Experience in managing all aspects of golf tournaments.
Excellent guest service skills, oral, and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep accurate records.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Willingness to engage in various software applications such as Golf Genius, Club Prophet and Synergy.

Compensation:
$70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year.
