Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Orchard Lake, Michigan is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide exemplary service to both members and guests Be a team player with a positive attitude while keeping a high level of service at the forefront of each member and guest interaction.
• Initiate and promote all club golf activities.
• Assist the Head Golf Professional and other Assistant Golf Professionals in the management and execution of the tournament schedule.
• Provide lessons to all segments of the membership, including juniors, ladies, and men.
• Work in tandem with the other Professional Staff to provide club fittings, in addition to assisting with club repair related jobs.
• Assist with all merchandise and inventory management. Maintain a working knowledge of the in-stock inventory. Maintain presentable displays. Places special orders as necessary.
• Responsible for the preparations for all golf outings including scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments.
• Have oversight in the management of departmental team members that may include, but is not limited to: Golf Shop Attendants, Assistant Professionals, and Golf Services, with general oversight from the Head Golf Professional.
• Ensure that effective orientation and training are given to each new golf employee. Assist in developing ongoing training programs.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve member and resort guest satisfaction.
• Possess knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf and GHIN handicap system
• Assist with keeping golf course properly marked for daily play and Club events.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, written and verbal communications, with timely follow-up on tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for members.
They should have a minimum of two years of experience working in a golf shop or as a golf professional.
PGA Member or Level 2 or higher of PGM Program.

Compensation:
$800.00 – $850.00 per week.
