Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Arvada, Colorado is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Supervises temporary staff and assists in the daily operations of the golf course. Oversees the golf administration as designated by the head golf professional. Provides a high level of customer service in accordance with the City of Arvada and its core values.

Duties:
• Assist in all cash management controls.
• Prepare daily cash receipts.
• Assist in physical inventories of merchandise.
• Supervise temporary employee staff as assigned by the head professional.
• Interacts with maintenance staff and restaurant staff as needed.
• Supervise and manage the total pro shop operation in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the head golf professional.
• Look for ways to exceed the customer’s expectations on a daily basis.
• Assist in providing a quality golf experience for everyone participating at the facility.
• Assist in all instructional programs as needed.
• Assist with all outside tournaments.
• Assist with all clubs and leagues.
• Demonstrates a respectful attitude towards customers and coworkers that promotes teamwork, open communication, and effective customer service.
• Acts with the customer in mind, responds to requests promptly and provides effective services or solutions for customers.
• Exercises appropriate level of initiative and judgment to make decisions within the scope of assigned authority.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, weekends, midday, and evening shifts.
• Other duties as required.
• Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job
• Receives supervision under the direction of the head golf professional. Assists in all daily activities and prioritizes daily schedules as needed.
• The work environment/physical activities described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
• Work is primarily performed in an indoor and outdoor environment with low to moderate noise levels. Physical effort and activities include: Driving range, golf cars, merchandise and some custodial duties.

Requirements:
Working knowledge of pro shop operations in a municipal setting.
Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and in writing, to support organizational objectives and interact with all levels of personnel within the city in a positive and cooperative manner.

Compensation:
$25.00 per hour.
