Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Sanford, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator, have a friendly and inviting demeanor and ability to work independently to achieve company goals.

Duties:
• Administer point of sales transactions and maintain the day-to-day reservation system by reserving tee times, checking in golfers, and processing payments.
• Assist in ensuring the driving range/practice area is set up and closed accordingly, monitoring the cleanliness of the range and the availability of clean range balls.
• Accurately reconcile cash register sales with daily opening and closing reports at the beginning and completion of each shift.
• Ensure the accurate collection and recording receipt of appropriate payments (cash, credit cards, and member charges).
• Keep a working knowledge of all events and upcoming tournaments, clinics, and daily golf rates for membership, packagers, and outside play.
• Maintain accurate tee sheet and pace of play, including ranger and starter roles as needed.
• Perform outside service duties, such as setting maintaining cart staging area, the driving range, putting green, and short game areas.
• Assist the golf professional staff with tournaments, scoring, cart setup, and recovery.
• Knowledge of all golf tournament software, handicapping, and scoring.
• Perform all duties required and assigned by the golf professional staff.
• Neatness of dress and cleanliness.
• Outstanding communications skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ensure all members and guests needs are met in a timely fashion.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in golf, sales and/or customer services.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with groups, personal initiative, and leadership abilities.
Trusted to complete all tasks assigned with limited supervision.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and POS operating systems.
Knowledge of the rules of golf, proper golf etiquette, and strong understanding of the game of golf is preferred.
