Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in La Quinta, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Works closely with the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf to ensure that golf cub’s mission, core values, service standards, and objectives are met. This is a highly visible position that requires a large presence in the golf shop and on the golf course, and requires great communication skills. The assistant golf professional is expected to be a passionate and innovative member of the team.

Duties:
• Customer Service – Provide the highest level of customer service to Tradition members and their guests with special attention to detail. Go above and beyond to ensure that every club encounter is a memorable experience. Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
• Integrity – Represent the club with integrity and professionalism at all times.
• Inventory – Post invoices, price, and sale, maintain proper inventory levels, and work with vendors to receive program discounts. Keep rental and demo club inventory.
• Teamwork – Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
• Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.
• Daily Operations – Assist members with golf operations when necessary, including but not limited to booking tee times, taking special order information, etc. Complete all of the required golf shop opening & closing procedures on a daily basis.
• Image – Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Club Rules – Interpret and enforce club and golf policies, rules, and regulations.
• PGA – Be an active participant in the local PGA chapter as well as pursuing Class “A” membership.
• Outside Service – Oversee outside service operations and make sure they are performing at peak efficiency. Ensure procedures are being followed and that the process is running smoothly.
• Play Management – Ensure the first tee is running on time, and that members are playing their round under the recommended pace of play. Make sure Foretees reflects what happened on the golf course throughout the day.
• Golf Carts – Understand how golf carts work so that you are able to diagnose specific golf cart issues.
• Brand Standards – Follow all brand standards and guidelines when creating golf content, including scorecards, ordering uniforms, etc.

Requirements:
Minimum of Undergraduate Degree (preferred).
Must have experience working at a private country club.
Spoken and written English skills.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Required Licenses/Certifications.
Must have driver’s license and clean driving record.
Class A PGA certification preferred, must be pursuing class A status.

Compensation:
$24.00 per hour.
