Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Surprise, Arizona is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Head Golf Professional, this position assists in the management of the daily golf operations, program planning, promoting customer service policies and procedures to ensure a Grand golf experience to the residents and guests.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining an effective relationship with men’s and women’s clubs as well as the golfing residents and visitors;
• Assist with player development programs;
• Assist in tournament management;
• Ensure pro shop sales floor is fully merchandized, well maintained, and orderly; order and stock inventory; promote and sell golf equipment and supplies including such items as golf clubs, bags, tees, balls, and clothing;
• Assist in managing the pro shop operations/staff and the player assistant operations/staff;
• Support Golf Shop Assistants in equipment rental, customer check-in and fee collection, schedule course of play and practice range use, and managing phone calls;
• Support Player Assistants in Ranger, Starter, and Golf Cart Attendant responsibilities;
• Assist in posting all rates and services including lessons, rentals, range balls, greens fees, and hours of operation;
• Operate the point-of-sale system, including cash handling in an efficient and accurate manner; ensure daily revenues are accounted for and reported;
• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and helpful manner;
• Provide exceptional customer service to all homeowners and visitors;
• Keep current with golf rules and regulations;
• Help ensure facilities and equipment are clean;
• Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance;
• Keep current with events and activities occurring; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
2+ years’ experience in the golf industry; or a combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position listed above.
Must possess, and maintain, a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Preferred: Completion of PGA Level I; knowledge of and use of computerized point-of-sale equipment and golf handicap programs; NorthStar and Chelsea software experience.
