1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Naples, Florida is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Participate in many aspects of the golf operation including golf instruction, mentoring/managing assistants and outside services, and tournament operations. This position will work closely with the Head Golf Professional and the Director of Golf to provide all Members an outstanding experience.

Primary duties include:
• Provides a strong professional leadership to ensure the Pro Shop presents a positive, welcoming and friendly image to members and their guests.
• Promotes the game of golf through dialogue and rapport with club members.
• Coordinates, advertises, promotes and supervises tournament program.
• Corresponds with members through website, email, voicemail and other technologies
• Remains visible and accessible to the membership
• Monitors tees, advises members where to start, attends to members needs during their rounds
• Presents awards/ hosts tournaments and events.
• Recruit and train staff
• Helps to promote the core values of the club and ensure positive culture
• Maintains records relating to golf department operations
• Provides golf lessons, organizes golf clinics and player development programs
• Provides golf club fittings and organizes demo days.
• Supervises tournament operations and ensures that tournament program meets standards.
• Receives merchandise, processes invoices and ensures accuracy of inventory.
• Organizes golf shop rotations, displays, sales and other marketing strategies to ensure members have a quality shopping experience.
• Receives merchandise, processes invoices, and ensures accuracy of inventory.
• Oversees golf shop staff to ensure all aspects meet standards.
• Manages the daily operations and ensures staff upholds standards. Assists in daily operations when necessary.
• Competes in golf tournaments.
• Plays golf with the membership and guests of all skill levels.
• Conducts formal training sessions and staff development programs
• Helps to enforce the rules and regulations of the club
• Addresses and promptly resolves all golf member complaints.
• Promotes training and development of all golf staff to ensure staff is in position to meet the high expectations of members.
• Participates in Golf Committee and Staff meetings as required.
• Assists the Club in meeting its long- and short-term goals.
• Furthers his or her own continued development by participating in appropriate seminars and conferences as approved by the Director of Golf.
