Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Beloit, Wisconsin is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The Apprentice Golf Professional is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the golf shop for the club including displaying all golf related items, checking in golfers, making tee times, selling retail items to ensure member and guest satisfaction. Also responsible being a concierge to members and guest before, during, and after golf.

Essential Responsibilities
• Open/close golf shop per written procedures.
• Answer phone, make/cancel tee times.
• Assist members and guests with retail purchase questions; assist in finding the correct product
• Properly record transactions for purchases
• Run appropriate end of shift reports and reconcile to reports
• Ensure golf shop inventory is stocked and well displayed and promote sales to members
• Promote and register members for various club functions to include golf and social functions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Assists Director of Golf supervising outside staff and inside staff.
• Operates golf shop in absence of Director of Golf.
• Manages the daily opening and closing of golf operations as needed.
• Performs starter or marshal duties as needed.
• Manages USGA handicap system for members.
• Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Director of Golf.
• Recruits and trains caddies (independent contractors)

Compensation
$16.00 – $20.00 per hour.
