Golf course in Roseville, California is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Perform a variety of responsibilities in the running of the golf operations.

Duties:
1. Operate within the boundaries of the P&L and meet or exceed annual budget.
2. Assist residents and guests with their questions, needs and issues.
3. Timely completion of tasks and assignments.
4. Work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays. Remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances.
5. Proven and effective customer service skills. Able to deal with the public.
6. Patience to deal with clientele of over the age 55.
7. Accomplish daily tasks by organizing and prioritizing.
8. Generate successful marketing and promotional programs.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Develop, analyze and monitor budget responsibilities include meeting or exceeding annual budget expectations.
2. Staffing and Supervisory responsibilities include maintaining qualified staffing levels within the golf operations. Oversee the operation of a well-run practice facility.
3. Oversee the reservation system, starting, monitoring and pace of play.
4. Develop program for teaching lessons including making appointments, making computer entries, ensuring shop coverage, teaching the lesson and ensuring payment received and entered into the computer.
5. Recruit, hire (with HR), train, motivate, and coach all Pro Shop staff, including setting and attending staff meetings regularly.
6. Manage inventory and purchasing in line with the budget. Keep inventory up-to-date seasonally and regularly turned while staying informed on current trends and purchasing preferences.
7. Business development includes developing promotional materials and programs to increase rounds of golf, merchandise sales, and player development.
8. Advertising and marketing includes working with the Graphic Artist to develop materials and securing marketing deals which include tracking ROI. Daily management of the external website.
9. Payroll/e-time includes scheduling, daily monitoring of breaks and missed punch documentation, editing e-time and payroll reconciliation on a bi-weekly basis.
10. Customer service includes in person and phone contact with residents, guests, vendors and employees.
11. Contract negotiations including tournaments, contracted services, supplies, golf cart rentals, etc.
12. Golf Cart fleet management by planning golf cart usage, maintenance, and rentals for events.
13. Golf Professional development by continually to develop current assistant golf pro(s) and succession plan for future golf professionals.
14. Prepare and attend finance meetings to request capital asset purchases, etc.
15. Attend and report at monthly meetings including but not limited to Finance, Golf Committee, Chartered Clubs, and sub-committees
16. Continue to play golf regularly with residents and professional staff.
17. Work closely with Golf Course Superintendent and other department directors to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements:
4-year college degree or equivalent business management or retail management experience.
Certified PGA professional.
5 years previous experience in golf operations management.

Compensation:
$88,000.00 – $98,000.00 per year.
