Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Scottsdale, Arizona is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist the Director of Golf and Senior Assistant Golf Professional in all significant club tournaments.
• Assist the Merchandise Manager/Buyer with all responsibilities within our high-end merchandising operation (e.g., placing, processing, and completing Special Orders for Members and guests).
• Assist the Director of Golf and Senior Assistant Golf Professional in directing Outside Golf Services staff in executing all daily golf operations tasks and duties.
• Support all aspects of the arrival & departure process.
• Manage daily play with up to 180 daily rounds.
• Provide customer service to the standard levels.
• Proficiency with Fore-Tees, JONAS POS, Golf Genius (Tournament & Golf Shop), Microsoft Office.
• Dedication to accomplishing the Golf Operational goals and programs.
• Possess a strong understanding of and promote the club’s wide range of activities and services.
• Being accessible to provide continuous improvement initiatives and training and coaching as needed to all support staff.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities to ensure professional growth.
• Assist in all aspects of the daily Golf Operations, including but not limited to starting, rangering, instructing clinics, and individual private lessons.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional appearance.

Requirements:
Class A PGA membership in good standing is preferred, though candidates enrolled within the PGA Golf Management Program or PGA Associate Program will be considered.
Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience as a PGA Professional at a private, member-owned club of similar size and stature preferred
A bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or college is preferred.
Qualified candidates should expect to be in this position for two (2) to four (4) years (working at a ‘snowbird’ or northern climate club in summer) and possess a strong desire to become a Head Professional or Director of Golf.
Candidates must be highly motivated, hard-working, and team players.
They must also be service-oriented, possess exceptional communication skills and attention to detail, have energy and self-confidence, and display a genuine caring attitude towards people.
The ideal candidate should have experience coordinating with a team of like-minded individuals in delivering exceptional service and a proven track record of seeking continuous improvement opportunities, both personally and professionally.
High-end private club experience is required.

Compensation:
$26,000.00 – $35,000.00 per year.
