Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Northridge, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Responsible for promoting the game of golf and the club while providing the Three Steps of Service to the members and guests of the club. Responsible for providing quality service, ordering necessary merchandise, and managing the golf shop operations. This position reports directly to the Director of Golf or Head Golf Pro.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Customer Service: Provide efficient and friendly service in the pro shop, including checking in golfers, processing charges at the register, and ensuring golfers are properly checked in prior to play. This includes proper cash handling procedures and meeting operational standards.
• Member/Guest Interaction: Respond to inquiries and make tee times for members and guests, either in person or over the phone. Maintain a friendly, professional, and calm demeanor at all times, even under pressure.
• Inventory Management: Handle inventory controls, check in merchandise, organize storage and display areas, and maintain stock levels for essential items like apparel, gloves, and balls. Ensure customers are informed about their special orders.
• Merchandise Returns: Process returns and issue appropriate credits to customers.
• Operations Support: Assist with marshaling, starting, and outside services as needed. Provide support to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators.
• Outside Operations: Collaborate with staff to ensure daily procedures and policies are properly executed.
• Promote Golf and Club: Represent the club in a professional manner and promote the game of golf.
• Closing Procedures: Perform end-of-day functions as per club guidelines.
• Task Completion: Ensure all daily assignments are completed and work areas are orderly and organized.
• Team Collaboration: Support fellow staff, members, and guests to uphold service standards. Be proactive as part of the team.
• Customer Relations: Address and resolve member/guest complaints promptly, while informing a supervisor of complaints when they occur.

Requirements:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
Customer service experience and basic golf knowledge are mandatory.
Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary company information and sensitive employee matters, except as expressly authorized.
Consistently adhere to the highest ethical work standards.
Be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, often exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity.

Compensation:
$20.00 per hour.
