Golf Shop Assistant
Golf course in El Dorado Hills, California is looking for a Golf Shop Assistant.

Position Overview:
Plays an integral role in the smooth operation of the golf shop. This position provides key administrative, merchandising, and technology support to the golf professional staff and assists in delivering outstanding service to members and guests. Primary responsibilities include tee sheet and reservation system management, inventory coordination, website and ForeTees support, point-of-sale (POS) operations, and general shop maintenance. While not a PGA professional role, this position is ideal for individuals seeking entry-level golf administration or hospitality experience in a premier private club setting.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily tee sheet management and online reservation support (ForeTees platform).
• Coordinate with the Golf Professionals to ensure accurate and efficient check-in of members and guests.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Jonas POS system, including sales transactions, billing issues, and product entry.
• Maintain professional appearance and cleanliness of the golf shop and retail displays.
• Support merchandising efforts, including receiving, tagging, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
• Help manage monthly inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist with placing merchandise orders, reorders, and returns as needed.
• Update in-shop signage and assist with promotions and member communications.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to members and guests, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating club events or tournaments as needed.
• Support administrative duties, such as filing, updating internal documents, and other clerical tasks.
• Act as a liaison between the golf shop and other club departments to ensure communication and alignment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional or Director of Golf.

Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must speak and communicate in English.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
High level of professionalism and commitment to outstanding member service.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Tech-savvy and comfortable learning software platforms, including POS systems, ForeTees, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Prior golf shop or hospitality experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Compensation:
$20.00 – $22.00 per hour.
