Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf club in Linville, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
In this role, you will work closely with the assistant superintendent team and the superintendent to oversee the day-to-day management of the golf courses. This individual will also be involved in creating a yearly agronomic plan, planning future projects, and will be involved in all aspects of management. The focus of this position is working with and through others, building and maintaining relationships, and working closely and accurately within established guidelines. There will be many different people to meet and work with. The person in this position must be friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of others, including the company, its management, the team, the company’s customers, or all the above. A persuasive, teaching style of communication is required to communicate the company’s policies, programs, and systems.

Duties:
• Assist in the execution of daily planning and management of the golf courses.
• Supervise, train, and develop an ever-growing maintenance team.
• Apply and maintain records of chemical and fertilizer applications.
• Assist with irrigation repair and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with the superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic plans.

Requirements:
Degree or certificate in agronomy or related field.
Ability to obtain a NC Pesticide license.
Ability to operate all turfgrass maintenance equipment.
Possess good communication skills, a positive attitude, and have high attention to detail.
Understanding of moisture management.
Experience or knowledge with the Spanish language is a plus.

Compensation:
$43,000 – $52,000 per year.
