Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Deland, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and must be willing to serve in the superintendent’s capacity during their absence. Under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, the position will direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, cart paths, roughs, and native areas. This position will assist the Golf Course Superintendent in managing all phases of golf course maintenance.

Requirements:
Possess Pesticide Applicators License or work towards obtaining within 6 months of employment.
Possess a BMP (best management practices) or obtain certification within 3 months of employment.
Must have technical and working knowledge of maintenance equipment, products, and other resources related to golf course operations.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time.
The individual must possess knowledge of the game of golf in order to understand and maintain the high standards expected by our members and non-member play.
The individual will need to be self-starting, energetic, and have the willingness to learn and grow as a turfgrass professional.
Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Agronomy or Horticulture plus a minimum of 2-3 years of golf course maintenance experience in a supervisory capacity.
Possess Pesticide Applicators License or work towards obtaining within 6 months of employment.
Possess a BMP (best management practices) or obtain certification within 3-4 months of employment.
The individual must have worked at a ‘green grass’ facility for a minimum of 2-3 years.
Must have technical and working knowledge of maintenance equipment, products, and other resources related to golf course operations.

Compensation:
$17 – $19 per hour.
