1st Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Plymouth, Massachusetts is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Handle managing a crew for day-to-day activities. Assists in the training of maintenance staff in equipment use and maintenance practices. In conjunction with the clubs maintenance practices and the Golf Superintendent, ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work to achieve the most efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

Requirements:
2 or 4-year degree or certificate with a background in Turfgrass/Golf Course Management or a turf certificate from winter school.
1-2 years of experience working on a golf course with expertise in equipment maintenance, fertilizer and pesticide application, and crew supervision.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Required to have a current Massachusetts pesticide applicator license or obtain one within sixty days.
Working knowledge of golf course maintenance, including tees, fairways, and greens.
Understanding of seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf.
Familiarity with various fertilizers and soil amendments, herbicides, pest control methods, and treatments.
Irrigation practices for bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways.

Compensation:
$65,000 – $80,000 per year.
