Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Glenview, Illinois is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The position will assist with the management of daily golf operations including managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling inventory, supervising golf staff, assisting with all merchandising functions, managing tournaments, teaching lessons as well as playing with the membership, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience to all members and guests.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage couples/social events through the season (signups, format, running, etc.).
• Administer junior golf programs.
• Assist men’s events as needed by 1st assistant professional.
• Provide golf instruction and clinics consistent with instructional methods, policies, and procedures developed by the head golf professional.
• Provide expert club fittings to all members and guests.
• Inventory control.
• Receiving.
• Special orders.
• Merchandising.
• Interactive play with the membership and their guests.
• Control and manage play; ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the starter.
• Golf shop counter services, telephones, and merchandising.
• Inventory reconciliation with director of golf.
• Assist in receiving and pricing of merchandise and equipment.
• Folding and straightening.
• Maintain shop cleanliness.
• Starting.
• Rangering.
• Provide excellent customer service, professional advice, and assistance to all members and their guests.
• Check on course supplies.
• Simulator operations.
• Assist with club repair (grips, bending, minor repair).
• Assist in receiving and pricing of merchandise and equipment.
