Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Avon, Colorado is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
As a key member of the Golf Management Team, the position will be actively involved in all operational areas, including the Golf Shop, practice facility, golf services, and golf car operations. This role is dedicated to enhancing the overall golf experience through exceptional service and programming.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Promote the game of golf and foster a welcoming environment for members and guests.
• Assist the Head Golf Professional in all areas of golf operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality.
• Instruct golfers of all skill levels through lessons and clinics.
• Engage with members by playing rounds of golf.
• Manage daily golf shop operations, including maintaining an accurate tee sheet, overseeing golf shop personnel, and ensuring professional service.
• Perform bookkeeping duties, including balancing daily ledgers, closing books, and reporting sales and deposits.
• Support outside staff and coordinate junior golf programs.
• Oversee group play logistics and assist with tournament planning, execution, and scoring.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Golf Shop.
• Assist with inventory management, merchandise display, sales, stock replenishment, and special orders.
• Handle phone inquiries, book tee times, and manage special event reservations.
• Provide golf club repair services.
• Communicate upcoming events to the Maintenance team.
• Participate in PGA Schools and Education Seminars for professional growth.
• Manage all aspects of the club’s handicap service.
• Continuously seek improvements to golf operations.

Working Conditions:
• Seasonal position (May – October).
• Must be available to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, during the peak season.

Relationships:
• Collaborate with the Head Golf Professional, Golf Shop Merchandiser, Golf Shop Staff, Outdoor Operations Staff, Golf Course Superintendent, Rendezvous Club Manager, Chef, and Beaver Creek Club Director.
• Participate in golf-related staff meetings.

Requirements:
PGA Member in good standing or actively enrolled in the PGA Apprentice Program.
Willingness to learn all facets of golf operations, including teaching, merchandising, inventory control, handicapping, personnel management, and tournament coordination.
Strong knowledge of the rules of golf and satisfactory playing ability.
Must present a professional image at all times.

Compensation:
$22.00 – $25.00 per hour.
