Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Bozeman, Montana is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Support the Head Golf Professional in managing the club’s golf operations and programs. This role is essential for maintaining the club’s reputation for excellence in golf operations and member satisfaction.

Job Tasks/Duties:

• Assist in coordinating tournaments and special events.
• Manage all aspects of the merchandising operation, including buying, receiving, selling, and floor displays.
• Supervise and assist the pro shop staff and outside service staff.

• Support the Golf Professional in instruction, coaching, and junior golf programs.
• Conduct golf clinics and oversee junior golf activities and programming.
• Maintain Pro Shop inventory and conduct physical counts periodically (e.g., scorecards, tees, pencils, etc.).
• Accurately document and charge for all in-house and outside club repair work.
• Fulfill Golf Professional’s duties in their absence.
• Manage daily golf operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Support pro shop staff, starter, ranger, and outside service personnel.
• Enter tournament winners into the credit book with appropriate details.
• Stay updated on golf clinic schedules and group lesson timings.
• Perform starter or marshal duties when needed.
• Administer the USGA handicap system for members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Golf Pro Shop counter and club repair areas.
• Attend staff meetings regularly.
• Stay well-versed in the handicapping system and relevant information.
• Keep up-to-date on upcoming club events and ensure proper communication.
• Promote employee health and safety by maintaining a clean and secure work environment.
• Be ready to fulfill essential duties during emergency situations.
• Possess full knowledge of Golf Pro Shop opening and closing procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Golf Professional.

Requirements:
Class A Member or minimum Level 1 and higher in PGM Program.
Prior experience as an Assistant Golf Professional (private club experience preferred, but not required).
Self-starter/self-motivated and goal driven.
Tournament operation experience a must. Familiar with all aspects of tournament set-up, including scorecards, golf car tags, proximities, staging area set-up and billing charges.
Proficient in Golf Genius or similar tournament management software.
Point of Sale and cash management experience.
Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
Maintain playing ability and work to stay competent in all areas of the game.
Knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures.

Compensation:
$47,000.00 – $57,000.00 per year.
