Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Huntington Beach, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Duties:
• Tee sheet and golf shop management.
• Execute golf shop operations including running the 1st tee, managing the tee sheet, pace of play, merchandise sales, proper charging in the POS system, and accuracy of charges.
• Perform daily starting and player assistant duties as needed and in conjunction with other scheduled golf shop personnel.
• Serve as the starter on #1 tee from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Tuesday-Friday) and 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Saturday/Sunday) (subject to change).
• Golf shop personnel to conduct course marshalling tours of the golf course every 90 minutes to ensure proper pace of play and course services.
• Assist the director of golf in planning and execution of all member-related golf activities and events.
• Ladies Day (Tuesday): Communicate with the 1st assistant for planning and assist in the execution of ladies’ events.
• Couples Play: Communicate with the 1st assistant regarding the planning and assist in the execution of couples’ events.
• Member Tournaments: Assist in planning and execution of all member golf events, including Member-Guest, Member-Member, and other major club-sponsored golf events.
• Provide support and assistance to the 1st assistant golf professional in Golf Genius tournament preparation and other tournament software needs.
• Assist the director of golf in the development, planning, and execution of all golf instruction programs for the club.
• Assist in developing clinics and camps.
• Provide professional instruction to members, including camps and clinics.
• Assist in growing the golf instruction platform at the club through marketing and member outreach.
• Assist the director of golf in managing all member club fittings and all related club fitting needs.

Requirements:
PGA membership or active apprentice in good standing within the PGA is required; PGA Class A member highly preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in a private club setting is highly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience at a recognized green grass facility.
Understanding elements of successful golf operations, proactively serving members and guests while providing exceptional member experiences.
College degree preferred.

Compensation:
$18.00 – $20.00 per hour.
