Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Victor, Idaho is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position is intended for a leader. This is an active and outdoors position supporting the daily operations of the Golf Department. The position assists the Director of Golf and the Head Golf Professional in the management of day-to-day golf operations of the facility. The position is responsible for creating a total golf experience as directed by DOG and HP. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and member satisfaction.

Duties:
• Opening and/or closing the golf facility daily.
• Managing counter operations and taking tee time reservations.
• Assist golf play by monitoring pace of play and flow.
• Helping pull and prep golf carts and staging area around the clubhouse.
• Adhere to all property and department policies and procedures.
• Conduct high quality individual and/or group lessons
• Provide club repair and club fitting services to customers.
• Process and post golf player scores into the club’s USGA Handicap System.
• Play golf with a variety of customers in competitive and non-competitive situations.

Marginal Functions:
• Assist Golf Operations Manager and Director of Golf in planning, execution, and budgeting for the golf operations.
• Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
• Assist Golf Operations Manager and/or Director of Golf in tournament operations and weekly events including planning, pre-tournament contracts, post-tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up.
• Assist Golf Operations Manager and Director of Golf with men’s, women’s, and junior golf development events and programs using PGA tools and resources.
• Assist Golf Operations Manager and Director of Golf and/or develop weekly events or functions.
• Assist Golf Operations Manager and Director of Golf in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales.
• Assist Golf Operations Manager and Director of Golf in coordinating golf activities with other departments.
• Make greens fee and merchandise transactions, book, and reserve tee-times by utilizing miscellaneous computer software.

Requirements:
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
Prior experience in a golf operation setting and/or in a resort/hotel setting preferred.
Class A PGA Member.
Prior experience in a customer centric, customer facing position required.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for I-9 form purposes.

Preferred: A high school diploma or equivalent.
