Head Golf Professional
Golf course in Stockton, California is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for the daily operation of the golf operation including the golf shop, driving range and practice facility on a seven-day per week basis. The golf course does not close during the winter months. Supervision is exercised over the full-time golf and other assigned part time staff and seasonal workforce. The nature of the work performed requires the capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, sales representatives, and the public.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage golf course and supervise its day-to-day operations.
• Work with company senior leadership on the implementation of operational budgets.
• Manage merchandising for the golf shop.
• Manage and schedule staff:
o Pro shop.
o Range.
o Outside services (cart attendants, starters, marshals).
• Assist with the administration of tournaments and special events.
• Assist with performance of daily deposits, cash management, financial auditing, and investigations.
• Responsible for marketing and promotions of the course, creating specials and deals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Directly supervise the pro shop staff, rangers, and outside service employees.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

• Responsibilities include:
o Training employees.
o Planning, assigning, and directing work.
o Appraising performance.
o Addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:
PGA Class A preferred, minimum PGA Associate Level 2 in “good standing.”
Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
Min 2 years management experience, preferably in the golf or hospitality industry.
Proven experience in golf instruction, with a strong focus on junior golf and youth programming preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with technology
including word processing and spreadsheets, as well as relating to golf, such as Golf Genius, Uschedule and various swing analysis software.
Demonstrated quality written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
Ability to efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

Compensation:
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour.
