Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in College Grove, Tennessee is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assist the Head Golf Professional and other golf operations staff in all golf-related activities and ensure members and guests receive outstanding customer service that exceeds their expectations. This position is instrumental in organizing and implementing golf events, tournaments, clinics, and other golf programs designed to be the best in the industry. Ensure daily operation of the Golf Operations department are carried out in a professional and efficient manner. Ensure procedures are followed to open, close, and secure all buildings and storage units. Greet all members in a timely and courteous/professional manner. Monitor all play to include but not limited to starting and course advising. Assist in tournament operations, including maintaining results, coordinating and executing special and weekly events. Work with the Head Golf Professional to coordinate employee schedules within the department including outside services, valet, and retail. Assist golfers with pre-golf check-in and record and charge appropriately into the POS. Ensure accurate tracking of types of golf rounds played, customer preferences, usage patterns, and member satisfaction. Responsible for end-of-day reports being filed daily. Assist in the Golf Shop as requested and be fully knowledgeable of golf shop merchandise. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to opening/closing of the shop, selling merchandise and providing suggestions based on member’s preferences, special orders, end-of-day reports, and monthly inventory counts. Opportunity to accompany groups and serve as a golf ambassador as requested by the Head Golf Professional. Plan and conduct group lesson programs and clinics to include, but not limited to juniors, ladies, and beginners. Continue to strengthen status as member/associate with PGA of America. Attend any department meetings and training as necessary. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
PGA Member, preferred.
Regularly works with other departments on projects and works well in a team environment.
Ability to analyze/solve problems and efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Positive attitude, strategic thinking, professional manner, and professional appearance in all situations.
Desire to learn and improve while growing professionally.
Work hours may include days and evenings on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than 50 pounds.

Compensation:
$45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year.
