2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Cleveland, Ohio is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
This position has become available following the promotion of the former Senior Assistant to a Head Superintendent role, as well as the advancement of the previous Second Assistant to Senior Assistant. Notably, the former Senior Assistant is the third individual in the past eight years to transition into a superintendent role, highlighting the team’s commitment to fostering career progression.

Duties:
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervision of the staff.
• Assist in making plant protectant and fertilizer applications to all surfaces.
• Assist in making repairs to the irrigation system and all related components.
• Contribute to the daily maintenance of the golf course including, but not limited to, mowing, course set up, drainage maintenance, repair, and installation, hand watering, tree pruning and removal, snow plowing and removal, and other duties in the maintenance operation.
• Manage the inventory of plant protection products and fertilizers.
• Have and continue to develop an attention to detail and use this skill to participate in weekly management meetings.
• Assist in the training of new employees in all aspects of golf course maintenance.
• Assist in scouting the course for disease and pests.
• Daily communication with the superintendent, other management staff, and the rest of the crew on goals, course conditions, event planning, and other related activities.

Requirements:
Preferred:
A degree in turf management or related field.
1-3 years of experience in golf course maintenance.
Strong verbal and written communication.

$60,000 per year.
