Head Golf Professional
Country Club in Union, Kentucky is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Below is a list of responsibilities directly related to the role. These are not limited to the complete scope of responsibilities for the Head Golf Professional.
• Be the leader of the golf department with a professional, welcoming mindset.
• Maintain a close working relationship between other department heads.
• Build and maintain relationships with members while playing golf.

Financial
• Oversee all revenue and expense-related areas, including merchandise, rounds of golf, and necessary operating expenses:
o Establish department goals and prepare and manage budgets including golf department forecasting, revenue and expenses including merchandise and labor.
o Compile information for market competition and research.
o Merchandise program oversight, implement marketing and sales strategies to maximize sales, including timely promotions, equipment fitting days, dynamic displays, member pricing, etc.

Operations
• Oversee all golf-related services and operations:
o Recruit, hire and train professional golf staff.
o Create/Maintain a learning culture where all staff members strive to improve the club.
o Ensure all staff members are adhering to “The Triple Crown Way.”
o Evaluate, alter and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures.
o Enforcement of all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
o Rental and maintenance program for the golf car fleet.
o Tee Time Reservation and Point of Sale System.

Player Development
• Conduct and support a dynamic and effective Player Development program, including juniors and women’s Operation 36 programming while offering individual coaching options for members:
o Coordinate with Independent Contractor regarding Driving Range maintenance closures and assistance in player development programming when necessary.

Tournament Programming
• Develop and oversee an innovative tournament program for members and outings:
o Oversee the handicap administration program, working in conjunction with an anonymous Handicap Committee.
o Major Member Tournament administration and preparation, including coordination with respective event committees.
o Event Administration and preparation of Monday Corporate outings.
o Foster continued growth in participation in the Ladies Golf Association.

Communications
• Effectively and consistently communicate golf information to members, including:
o Daily Good Morning email to golf membership communicating course conditions, events, merchandise sales, and general announcements.
o Publicize annual Member Information Guide, highlighting events and golf policies.
o Oversee all communication outlets, including social media, email marketing and text messaging.

Requirements:
3+ years of private club experience.
PGA member.
Lead by example.
Be a true team player who can connect with both staff and members.
Be accountable for the golf operation.
Run the golf operation like you own the business.

Compensation:
$80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year.
