Head Golf Professional
Golf Course in Nisswa, Minnesota is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Responsible for the performance of all service-related operations at their respective course and works closely with the Director of Golf and Golf Course Superintendent to provide the highest quality golf experience. Provide input and ideas to increase golf revenue. The position is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the golf operations and ensuring the highest standards of service, professionalism, and enjoyment for members and guests. This position requires a deep understanding of golf, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong business awareness. This role is a key position in our operational excellence delivery goals. The role may advance into a supervisor level position should the incumbent demonstrate sufficient strategic development and enlargement of performance scope. The successful person will be an advocate of our mission, values, and brand from a Golf level.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Golf Operations Management:
• Manage all aspects of golf operations including tee time reservations, course maintenance, pro shop management, and practice facilities.
• Ensure efficient and smooth operation of daily play, tournaments, leagues, and events.
• Implement and enforce golf course policies and procedures to maintain safety, pace of play, and quality standards.
• Supervise and train golf staff including assistant professionals, starters, player’s assistants, and outside services personnel.
2. Member and Guest Services:
• Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships.
• Organize and promote golf events and leagues to enhance the golf experience and participation
• Actively engage with members to understand their needs and preferences, and tailor golf services accordingly.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of golf operations with overall services offered at resort.
3. Retail Merchandising and Inventory Management
• Manage pro shop inventory, including ordering, pricing, and merchandising of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
• Implement promotions and sales strategies to drive pro shop revenue and enhance the retail experience for customers.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust inventory levels to optimize profitability.
4. Financial and Administrative Duties
• Work with Director of Golf to develop and manage the golf operations budget for respective course forecasting revenue and expenses and monitoring financial performance.
• Maintain accurate records of golf activities and transactions.
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making to support the overall goals and objectives of the golf course.
5. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Passionate and proficient in golf, demonstrating a genuine interest and skill in the sport.
Proactive self-starter and innovator, dedicated to achieving both short and long-term business goals.
Exceptional time management skills, adept at meeting deadlines, and flexible in working hours.
Embraces innovation and change, exhibiting a high sense of urgency in driving progress.
Demonstrated problem-solving prowess, maintaining composure effectively in stressful situations.
Physical capabilities include standing and walking for 7 to 8 hours at a time, climbing stairs, reaching, and bending.
May be required to lift over 50 pounds occasionally, showcasing physical strength and resilience.
PGA membership or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Head Golf Professional or similar role.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of golf operations, rules, and etiquette.
Proficiency in golf instruction techniques.
Familiarity with golf course maintenance practices.
Customer-focused with a passion for promoting golf as a recreational activity.

Compensation:
$55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year.
