Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Reading, Massachusetts is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic interaction with guests and staff.
• Appropriately using tournament software to successfully run golf events, create pairings, scorecards, scoreboards, etc.
• Candidate will have the opportunity to assist in instruction of engaged junior program.
• Assists Professional Staff in establishing an attainable but leisurely pace of play for members and guests.
• Introduction to club repair work including regripping and proper application of shaft labels.
• Works closely with PGA Head Golf Professional on exceeding expectations, providing direction/management of staff, assist and administer golf instruction programs, enforcing course policies, assisting with tournament operations, supporting retail operations, and assist with developing and implementing marketing plans.
• Assist members and guests as they register for play and maintain a properly functioning tee sheet at all times.
• Support the PGA Head Golf Professional with daily and monthly merchandising needs such as complete product knowledge, ordering and displaying of merchandise, maintaining proper inventory levels, and keeping the golf shop in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
• Shall work closely with the golf course superintendent and other departments in coordinating activities, which benefit the club.
• Shall cooperate in performing any other duty deemed reasonable and necessary by the supervisor or management.

Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Prior knowledge of Event Man tournament software helpful but not required.
Candidate must possess positive, charismatic disposition.
Self motivated, eager to learn individual that will grow under the tutelage of seasoned Professional Staff.
Prior working knowledge of private club operations a plus.

Compensation:
$15.00 – $17.00 per hour.
