1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf club in Orlando, Florida is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Executes the essential functions of the Head Golf Professional’s duties and responsibilities when on duty.

Essential Functions:
• Creates Wow by: anticipating needs and wants, being prepared, being continuously enthusiastic, executing flawlessly and doing it now.
• Acts as a role model for all staff by demonstrating a service and member focused attitude.
• Promote the game of golf to the membership and protects the brand of the club in our community.
• Effectively communicates with membership, golf operations team and club staff with all golf functions within the club
• Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional with enforcing and interpreting the policies, rules, and regulations to the membership.
• Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional with enforcing and interpreting the employee policies and procedures.
• Oversees the departmental communication to the membership & staff, including the content of the weekly electronic messaging and Tee to Tea.
• Responsible for the management of Men’s and Ladies Golf Tournament Programs.
• Attends all Golf Committee meetings and serves at the Secretary to the committee.
• Represent the golf operation on the Employee Safety Committee.
• Assume the responsibility of completing the work schedule for the Golf Operation.
• Meet with Golf Staff to suggest and coordinate all “change of season” displays.
• Oversee the golf facilities maintain our standard of cleanliness and organization. This includes: two storerooms are organized, cart facility, golf shop and back offices.
• Accurate daily charge records turned into administrative staff. Cross check guest and cart charges.
• Supervise the training of new employees in their hired position.
• Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional as an ambassador to the club for new member growth.
• Supports the outside service manager in managing the outside staff to ensure we deliver a first-class member/guest experience.
• Represent in golf events including local, state or national events with the approval of the Director of Golf.
• Lessons to be given to outside parties must be introduced by a club member.
• Assist with all clinics. (Women and Junior)
• Continue to educate yourself about the golf instruction including seeking knowledge and advice from all services
• Oversee the supply inventory in the golf shop.
• Scorekeeping and summarization of results (men’s and ladies events)
• Make sure all credit is posted to member’s accounts.
• Make it a goal to increase the numbers players from last tournament of similar nature.
• Assist Head Professional in reviewing job descriptions on a semi-annual basis.
• Assist in compiling a checklist for all positions and job descriptions.
• Operates golf operation in absence of the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional.

Requirements:
Should possess a friendly & courteous attitude.
Should have proficient experience of working with & maintain golf cart & be able to work on the practice tee when required.
Must have a valid US driver’s license & clean driving record.
Must be able to properly drive and maintain golf carts.
Basic knowledge of how to properly operate a golf cart.
Class A PGA Professional.
Prior experience as an Assistant Professional.
College Degree preferred.
PGA Class A.

Compensation:
$55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year.
