Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Lakewood, Washington is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Will shadow/assist Assistant Professionals or Head Professional in different areas:
• Men’s fund.
• Women’s fund.
• Social events.
• Merchandising/inventory.
• Teaching & coaching, & junior golf.
• Detail oriented individual and able to prioritize work, managing multiple tasks with limited supervision.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to succeed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to problem solve on the spot and take ownership for problem resolution.
• Assists the head golf professional and assistant golf professional team with management of all daily golf operations.
• Assists the head golf professional and assistant golf professional team with tournament operations/set up.
• Manage golf carts, cart staging area outside golf shop.
• Manage bag room; daily pull list, organization, cleanliness.
• Ensure all golf carts meet cleanliness standards and are fully stocked (tees, scorecard, pencil, towels).
• Greet members and guests upon arrival and assists them with anything they may need. This includes:
• Carry golf bags, drive a golf cart out to their car to greet them and assist with their golf bag.
• Remove golf bags from golf carts, cleans clubs, and return golf bags to the appropriate spot. (bag storage, members vehicle, bag rack).
• Return carts to cart storage area, clean, and restock with fresh supplies; park cart in storage area and connect charger cable.
• Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the head golf professional or assistant professional team.

When not working Outside Guest Service Lead/Supervisor Role, will work the following areas:
• Golf shop.
• Starter.
• Tournament operations.
• Golf clinics.
• On course–marshal runs.
• Merchandising.

Requirements:
Assistant in training or member service supervisor experience preferred.
Knowledge of golf operations.
Must have fundamental knowledge and familiarity for the game of golf and rules of golf.
Candidates must be motivated to continue to learn and develop.
Fundamental supervisory practices and principles.
Act as a role model for all team members by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all team members.
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
Member and guest service-focused attitude.
Experienced in written and oral business communications.
Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the membership.

Compensation:
$20 – $22 per hour.
