Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Grapevine, Texas is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assists the Director of Golf with activities relating to the management and operation and provides friendly customer service and golfing expertise to members and guests. Further the Assistant Golf Professional will assist and oversee golf staff, tournament organization, and daily play.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the golf operation in the absence of the Director of Golf.
2. Ensure daily operations of the Golf Department are carried out in a professional and efficient manner.
3. Maintain a professional appearance and a positive, upbeat attitude providing excellent customer service.
4. Daily supervision of all outside service staff as well as assisting the Director of Golf in scheduling and daily tasks.
5. Marketing and promotion of all golf-related events.
6. Manages the daily opening and closing of golf operations.
7. Performs Player Assistant/Quarterback roles as needed.
8. Ensure a consistent and excellent player experience by being responsive, following up in a timely manner, and following through commitments.
9. Facilitate day of tournament execution for outings and tournaments to ensure a great experience and the desire for those groups to return.
10. Ensure the golf cart fleet is well maintained and cleaned daily per Cowboys Golf Club standard operating procedures.
11. Assist in all outside operations.
12. Attend department staff meetings as well as any other training as necessary.
13. Experience with computer use with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
14. Self-motivated with a service and customer focused attitude.
15. Assist with rental club procedures including weekly inventory.
16. Positive and proactive supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
17. Perform other daily tasks assigned by the Director of Golf.

Requirements:
Including but not limited to a member of the PGA or PGA apprentice working to attain PGA Professional status.
Associates degree or two years related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-4 years prior golf course operations experience preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of typical golf course operations procedures.
Ability to maintain complete knowledge of the handicapping system and all pertinent handicap information.
Familiarity with Golf Genius, including tournament set up, scorecards, golf cart tags, proximities, staging area, alpha sheets, scoring, and tek gps.
Ability to pay attention to details.
Strong leadership skills.
Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
Preferred candidate, with a background in private, semi-private, or upscale daily fee facility.
Value all staff members and their individual growth and development.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Lifting and carrying items that are sometimes greater than (50) pounds.

Compensation:
$19.00 – $24.00 per hour.
