Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Woodstock, Georgia is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent (GCS) to supervise and train the maintenance team, assist with daily course operations, oversee irrigation and repair work, and perform routine pesticide and fertilizer applications. This is a hands-on leadership role for an individual passionate about turf management and committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily supervision, scheduling, and training of golf course maintenance staff.
• Perform and oversee all tasks related to course maintenance, including mowing, landscaping, and bunker care.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain sprayers and spreaders for pesticide and fertilizer applications.
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, including pumps, wells, and automatic controls.
• Monitor turf conditions and irrigation needs, adjusting watering schedules as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, shop, and maintenance areas.
• Act on behalf of the GCS in their absence.
• Evaluate course conditions from the player’s perspective to ensure optimal playing surfaces.
• Direct special projects and course improvement initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Superintendent or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, chemical applications, irrigation systems, and mowing practices.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Georgia pesticide license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, and work in varying weather conditions.

Compensation:
$60,000 – $70,000 per year.
