2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in New Rochelle, New York is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Work closely with the Director of Agronomy, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents, and the turf management team to execute daily operations, agronomic programs, and course improvement projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to advance their career while gaining hands-on experience in all facets of high-level golf course management at one of the premier clubs in the region.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and supervising daily golf course maintenance activities.
• Lead small crews in executing cultural practices, chemical/fertilizer applications, and irrigation repairs.
• Monitor turf conditions and communicate observations to senior staff.
• Operate and train staff on mowing equipment, utility vehicles, and specialized turf machinery.
• Participate in course setup for daily play and special events.
• Aid in record keeping for chemical/fertilizer usage, irrigation logs, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure a safe work environment and adherence to club standards.

Requirements:
2- or 4-year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
1–2 seasons of prior golf course maintenance experience, preferably at a high-end private club.
New York State Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for the turf industry.
Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Effective communication and leadership skills.

Compensation:
$65,000 – $70,000 per year.
