Assistant Golf Coach
University in Misenheimer, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Coach.

Position Overview:
Aid in the growth and development of both golf programs in which he or she is assigned by assisting with planning and directing the activities of the team. Support a quality varsity program which will challenge and develop the physical, mental and personal abilities of Division III student-athletes.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in all aspects of golf coaching including thorough knowledge of the sport, coaching strategies, and player development.
• Support domestic and international recruitment of high school and community college student-athletes.
• Adhere to NCAA Division III, USA South Conference, and departmental rules and regulations.
• Collaborate within the Department of Athletics administration and coaching staff framework.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, administration, staff, and alumni.
• Monitor the institutional athletic facility for safety and security; prevent unsafe activity without instructing athletes while supervising.
• Perform daily operational tasks, coaching duties, and recruiting functions under direction of the Head Coach.
• Manage office responsibilities related to athletic programming.
• Lead the development and execution of practice plans in alignment with Head Coach expectations.
• Support game management tasks including setup, supervision, and breakdown; oversee game day staff and work-study students.
• Supervise team academic study hall and work-study athletes.
• Travel with team, assist with travel planning and itinerary execution, and drive university vehicles as needed.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred experience includes two years of playing or coaching experience at the college level.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, computer skills and strong oral and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA Division III and USA South Conference.
Requires strong organizational skills and writing ability.
Ability to work effectively with athletic department personnel and student athletes.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
