2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Lexington, Kentucky is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic and aspirations to advance within the golf industry. The role will play a crucial part in maintaining course conditions to the club’s high standards and supporting daily operations, project execution, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitude:
• Assist in planning and supervising daily maintenance operations.
• Execute proper mowing, fertilization, aerification, and pest control.
• Oversee and troubleshoot irrigation issues.
• Train and lead crew in maintenance procedures and equipment use.
• Help implement agronomic programs, including chemical applications.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain detailed application and irrigation records.
• Collaborate with the superintendent on projects and long-term planning.
• Operate and help maintain equipment as needed.

Requirements:
1- 3 years of experience working on a golf course.

Preferred:
Certificate or associate degree in turfgrass management or related field (preferred, not required).
Pesticide application knowledge or licensure in Kentucky.
Familiarity with John Deere equipment and Toro Lynx systems.
Experience in golf course maintenance or willingness to learn quickly.
Leadership potential and strong communication skills.

Compensation:
$55,000 – $60,000 per year.
