Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Dumfries, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of golf operations while growing as a teaching professional. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to develop their skills, grow their teaching clientele, and gain valuable experience in golf management.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist in the daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, merchandising, and customer service.
• Provide private and group golf instruction, retaining 80% of lesson fees earned.
• Lead and assist with golf clinics, earning additional income.
• Support tournament operations using Golf Genius (experience preferred).
• Assist with player development programs, junior golf, and member engagement initiatives.
• Help manage the golf cart fleet, practice facilities, and course operations.
• Perform PGA PGM activities and work toward PGA membership if applicable.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service to enhance the golf experience.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing facility and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Coordinate individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the 1st Assistant Golf Professional and/or Head Golf Professional.
• Assume 1st Assistant Golf Professional’s duties in their absence.
• Generate daily reports on rounds, sales, and other key performance metrics.
• Work closely with the Marshall and Starter to monitor pace of play, safety, and course conditions.
• Provide exceptional customer service to arriving guests and assist with check-in.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
Preferred:
PGA Associate or working toward PGA membership.
Previous experience in golf operations and instruction.
Strong knowledge of the game, rules, and etiquette.
Experience with Golf Genius tournament software is a plus.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation:
$40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year.
