Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Cornelius, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Your First Priorities:
• Jump into daily course operations and get to know the team.
• Take the lead on fertilizer and pesticide applications.
• Learn and help maintain our new Rainbird IC irrigation system.
• Motivate and supervise crew members to meet high performance standards.
• Begin demonstrating leadership qualities and building trust within the team.

Key Responsibilities & Skills You’ll Use Daily:
• Maintain and improve all course areas: greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and native zones.
• Calibrate and apply fertilizers and chemicals responsibly and accurately.
• Troubleshoot irrigation issues and assist with repairs.
• Operate a wide range of turf maintenance equipment.
• Keep detailed records and inventory of applications.
• Lead and train staff, organize schedules, and help foster a productive crew culture.
• Support major projects and renovations.
• Prioritize safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

Requirements:
Preferred Education: Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Turf Management or related field.
Experience: Entry-level to 3 years ideal; candidates with 4–7 years and strong experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
License: NC pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).

Compensation:
$60,000 – $65,000 per year.
